    choosing access point

    hi,
I have a client that needs to open a TCP connection to its server. I don't want the "select access point" dialog to be shown to the user every time, but rather, having the user to select it once and using that selection from that point onwards.
What i currently use is CApSettingsHandler to let the user select the access point. This returns the acess point's ID. From this ID I need to retrieve the bearer ID, in order to use it in CCommsDbConnectionPrefTableView::TCommDbIapBearer 'iIapId' field prior to invoking the RSocket's connect() method. How do I do that (retrieve the bearer ID from the aceess point's ID)? Am I using the correct way to do all this, or is there a better way?
    Thanks,
    Asher.

This thread is a bit ancient anyway...
Otherwise yes, the links do not work any more. For answering the very original question from 6.5 years ago, CApAccessPointItem::ReadUint with EApIapBearerID may provide the answer, though these API-s are deprecated now (but still available). There is also CApUtils::IapIdFromWapIdL (and WapIdFromIapIdL) as shortcut.
