    Can I make new folder in Symbian Shell?

    Hi
    Is there any way to do any thing in symbian shell?
    Example create new folder, put my application icon on it, rename folder already created (Media folder, Office Folder).
    I know that, I can make my application icon, name and folder from AIF file. I ask about do that from code not from AIF file.
    This tasks,User can do it direct from shell for example renaming media folder in Nokia9500.

    Can my app make that too?
    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Unfortunately there is not public API available to create a folder, but one can use AddToDesk class to open AddToDesk dialog to create a document, application etc link. Within this dialog user is able to click New group from CBA.

    #include <addtodesk.h>
    LIBRARY addtodesk.lib
    TUid uid;
    uid.iUid = 0x10000080;
    AddToDesk::AddAppToDeskL(iEikonEnv->FsSession(),uid);

    Hi veskola,

    I've never heard of this library/class. It is not part of standard S60 v1.x SDK, is it?
