Nokia 6230 with firmware 4.44 and bluetooth

I have since two weeks a Nokia 6230 with firmware 4.44. When I use the bluetooth connectivity there is a strange behavior observed by the handset. This behavior is repoducable.

The PC (IBM Thinkpad X30 or A31p with internal bluetooth adapter and WIDCOMM 1.4.2.8 driver (latest available version from IBM)) connects to the handset and the GPRS conncetion to the provider (Austria: A1) is established. After about 1 minute (it may depend on the amount of data transmitted), the GPRS conncetion is broken because the handset performs a reset and a new start. The bluetooth conncetion is left in undefined state, the PC does not react on a disconnect. Only switching off the bluetooth adapter releases the modem connection.

When using the IR conncection instead, the GPRS connection is working without problems.

I wolud like to know if this situation is related to a hardware problem in the handset or a problem in the firmware.

Try the latest firmware. I was told there is a new version 5.24.
