    CMdaAudioRecorderUtility::SetAudioDeviceMode

    Hi
    This method doesn't do anything in Symbian 7.0s, it's just kept for binary compatibility with previous releases.
    Anybody knows what's the replacement for it in Symbian 7.0s? I'm particularily interested in playing audio files during a phone call.
    This was achieved in Symbian 6.0 by using ETelephonyMixed parameter.
    Thanks,
    Sorin

    Hi

    It's listed indeed in "known issues" doc for Nokia Platform 2 for Symbian 7.0s as not working.
    But it is working for Symbian 6.0, e.g. on Nokia 9200 Communicator series.
    I was wondering if there's any other API which provides this in Symbian 7.0s.
    Thanks,
    Sorin

    sorry, infact never tried it on 6.0. anyway it has been broken already in 6.1, so I thought it would have also been in 6.0. Thanks for clarification.

    There are however applications that are able to play audio during an established call, with Symbian 7.0s, so there is another possibility instead of SetAudioDeviceMode.
    Thanks,

    I think the ETelephonyMixed is used by default already, so if you have a active call on process, and you start playing a file, it will be played in both speaker and in phone line as well.

    Unfortunatelly not, it's EDefault and it doesn't play on uplink. Also the pre-installed Voice recorder app doesn't do this anymore on 9500 (Symb 7.0s), on 9210 it was working.
