Exclamation Symbian OS design faults (an article)

Looking for explanation, why the simplest things do not work in Symbian? Feel frustrated again? Want to break the keyboard against the wall and throw your computer into the window?

Read this article instead. It will not help you right here (i'm sorry), but it will explain something...

    Hi,

I read this article and than I looked on the discussion below, especially on the first thread where are nicely described and destroyed some presumptions and facts from article. In spite of this author is right that symbian has enormous number of classes, but comparing it to MFC/Win32 API making not a big difference.

I think that author missed one quite big fault of Symbian - that this OS is not so open as it looks, because many things are undocumented or they are allowed to be used only by liceenses - I think that Symbiab doesnt give such freedom to developers as it is usually said.
    Bye
