    media conversion api ?

    Hi,

For an application that we are developing we need to convert audio and video files from one format to diiefernt formats for different phones, like convert a mpg to 3gp or from 3gp to mpg . I know there are some tools available to do the conversion. But what I am looking is a tool which does not involove any user interaction i.e. which has the api which I can use to write a script or can use in my j2me application to convert the file in the appropriate format.

    Thanks for any help.

I did not get a chance to use but you can look into ffmpeg and its java part jffmpeg. Both are open source. Let me know if it helped you.

    Re: media conversion api ?

thank you. I have found the ffmpeg (in linux, C), ffdshow and the libavcodec. I think maybe they will help me to find a solution.
