AudioStreaming + what PCM format + RTP payload type

    Hi,

I am recording data using CMdaAudioInputStream. What is the format of PCM which I get back? Is it A-law or mu-law or uncompressed?

How do I know about the format?

And if I want to send this data via RTP, what should I keep as the RTP Payload type?

    Many thanks,
    isymdev

    Hi,
you are streaming into pcm16 - it is uncompressed at all. Streamed data are probably too big to be streamed via RTP(UMTS/EDGE/GPRS too slow). For RTP amr payloads look into rfc 3267, there is discussed amr payload type, but not for uncompressed raw samles.

    Bye
