Calling CEikAppUi::Exit() by a application results in symbian to Freeze.

    Dear All,

Thanks a lot for your assitance on previous queries.

The application freezes when we call CEikAppUi::Exit(). We have written a simple helloworld GUI application with single view. It is called when a menu option Exit is called. We see that the screen freezes when we call this API. Can somebody tell why this could be?

Following is the message that we get during this freeze:

    Program system
    Reason code: ViewSrv
    Reason Number : 11

    Awaiting your reply.

    Warm Regards,
    prbhat

do you have some active objects that gets cancelled on exit ?

Basically could be that you haven't implemented the DoCancel function in right way, and that the active object sofor waits indefinetly for cancellation to finish.

No i dont have a active object

It is a simple helloworld program that comes with the symbian examples. I have just added handlekeyevents code in that. That's it. Can you suggest what could be the problem?

just comment out any code you have added and then try un-commenting it line-by line, while test-running it every time. Then you could pin-point the line that gives you the problem. Then copy-paste it here, maybe it could help solving this.
