    Question Remotely reboot S60 phones?

    Hi,

    Is it possible to write an application on a S60 phone that reboots the phone when it receives a SMS reboot message?

    why not, you can re-boot the phone from code, so all you need to to is wait for the sms, and when it arrives, just call your routine that reboots the phone.

    Of course this requires some sort of server made by you running in the phone, and waiting for your re-boot sms to arrive.

    What is the API that allows reboot the phone in codes? The SMS part is not the problem but I am not aware of any codes that perform reboot. By now you know that I am a newbie :-) Thanks for your help.

    for example, this might do it:
    UserSvr::ResetMachine(EStartupWarmReset);

    yep, NewLC is one of the best sources of information, and wonder why this site wont show up in google, but NewLC always gives some nice hits there.
