Problem creating Visual Studio .NET solution

    Hi,
I am trying to build the helloworld example from the Nokia Series 60 sdk 2.1 (C:\Symbian\7.0s\Series60_v21\Examples\helloworld).

I run the makmake helloworld vc7 command, which produces a .sln and a .vcproj file.

When I try to open hellowprld.sln it says “The selected file is not a valid Visual Studio solution file” and when I try to open the .vcproj file it says “Your project file is version ‘7.10’. Visual Studio .NET can only load version 7.0 project files.”

I cannot find a reference to a version number anywhere in the files. Could this be because I have Visual Studio .NET and not Visual Studio .NET 2003?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,
    Miranda

You're right on the spot, you need version 2003 to open the .sln file.

However, you may want to check this:

    I haven't tried it myself.
