    Unhappy Nokia 6630 Camera API

    Hi everyone,

    Background:

I am trying to write an application for a Nokia 6630 handset which will take a picture from the camera and then process it.

    I have 2 questions:

    1:

I have been unable to find an API for the camera in the 6630 anywhere on the web. I did however find an API for the camera in the 3650 - if I follow this API will my code also work on a 6630? They are both Series 60 Nokia handsets - please advise!

    2:

I am using the Series 60 SDK for Symbian OS v2 with Feature Pack 2. How do I set up the emulator so that I can test code that uses a camera API?

    Many thanks!

try locating ECam example, it should work just fine with 6630.

The example made for OS 6.1 phones, is using cameraserver, that is not present in 6630 anymore, and thus shouldn't be used.

Thanks for the info! I managed to find an API for the onboard camera from the Symbian OS site which goes with the example from Forum Nokia.

Does anyone know where I can find example code on how to add an entry to the default contacts list?

    Cheers!

    Ryan
