    View border and shadow?

    I have implemented a view where the screen is split into two window-frames as presented in the "Nokia 9210 Style Guide". These two windows are compound controls inherited from CEikBorderedControl (both are window-owning) and they both contain a number of component controls. I've followed the SDK guides and the number of other sources (this Forum, Symbian KB, Symbian NGs) and everything seems ok.

    I cannot get the "Nokia 9210 Style Guide" -type window frame and drop-shadow around the active/focused window. The window component controls in both windows are drawn fine but the window frame and the shadow are missing. I've tried to use different ways,

    - RWindow's SetShadowHeight(), SetShadowDisabled(false)
    - CEikonEnv's AddWindowShadow()
    - CEikBorderedControl's SetBorder(TGulBorder::EWindow) with CknEnv::SetDropShadowToLogicalBorder(...)

    Nothing happens.

    As the view Draw() method is the very simple one found in the SDK examples, is there something *special* required in the Draw() method of the window? Use different pen size, brush bitmap, perhaps?

    I've set a temp web-page with two screenshots to demonstrate the problem. Please see http://www.sunpoint.net/~arijr/

    Thanks 1000x for your help & tips.

    I haven't tried this out, but it might help (see the end of the page for screenshots):
