Question Can I set permissions to always allow a network connection?

    Hello,

Im doing an rss newsreader application for my college project.
Im trying to set the phone to wake up at a specific time using the push registry and then download the latest news.
whenever im using the application normally i get prompted something like:
"allow newsreader to make a network connection?"

i suspect that when the phone wakes up after the alarm that this prompt will be displayed when the app tries to
automaticaly download the news when its awoken, which will
defeat the puropse of having an alarm.

Im wondering is there is any setting on the phone or a prompt i can display in my app that will ask something like:
"Always allow newsreader to make network connections?"

so that when it wakes it has the permission to access the network without user intervention.

    im using the 6600.

    Id appreciate any help.
    Thanks,
    Danny,
    (panicking college student, ire )

    Yes and no!

Go to the software manager (which normally can be found at tools), goto your application and click the second hot key, Then goto settings and edit the Connection properties.

The best thing that can be done is to set it to: "Ask the first time" There's no option saying: Ask never.

So once it is startedt, you have to allow it at least once.
