    Cool Emulator and a c-application on the same machine

    I have a c-program running on the same machine as the series 60 sdk 2.1 emulator. I am trying to get the emulator sample socket application to get connected with the c-program.
    Can this work without nameservers? This development is happening in the local area network with no access to internet.

    js

    Current emulator ethernet settings from ced.cfg :

    [LANService]
    ADD_SECTION
    # COMMDB_ID = 1
    Name=LAN_service_1
    IfNetworks=ip,ip6
    IpNetMask=255.255.255.0
    IpGateway=0.0.0.0
    IpAddrFromServer=FALSE
    IpAddr=194.100.109.1
    IpDNSAddrFromServer=FALSE
    IpNameServer1=0.0.0.0
    IpNameServer2=0.0.0.0
    FIELD_COUNT=9
    END_ADD

    And the answer is Yes

    It is useful to first look at Configuring Ethernet Support document that describes detailed how to configure the emulator with or without DHCP support.

    I have not filled in any gateway ip address(it is blank)
    or DNS servers.

    My c-server and emulator client get connected but that's it. Nothing more happens.

    ps. If you do not find the document quickly use search function
    of s60_sdk_help.chm:
    "configuring ethernet support"
