    I second that query. Obviously the parameters passed to the scroll bar (or the scroll bar model) weren't what the folks at Symbian expected, but how about something a little more descriptive of the problem?

    Nothing in the Symbian 6.1 documentation, nothing in this forum, no .pan file in the EPOC32 include directory, no other .h file that I could find that might indicate a little more about this issue.

    Once again lowering the bar for Symbian documentation.

    How do they do it?

    The "Avkon" means the Nokia Series 60 UI. Forum Nokia apologize for the troubles related to non-complete documentation.

    In return, here is full list of scroller Panic:
    enum TEikPanicResourceScrollerIndicator
    {
    EEikPanicScrollbarScrollRangeLow,
    EEikPanicScrollbarIndicatorOutOfRangeLow,
    EEikPanicScrollbarIndicatorOutOfRangeHigh,
    EEikPanicScrollbarScrollSpanLow,
    EEikPanicScrollbarFocusPosOutOfRange
    };

    From the Above number 3 means, the EEikPanicScrollbarScrollSpanLow.

    In More detail:
    CAknScrollIndicator::SetPosition(const TInt aFocusPosition, const TInt aScrollSpan)
    /**
    / Sets the new focus position in the list and the list length.
    */
    {
    // check parameters valid
    // scrollspan can now be zero and focusposition -1 for empty lists.
    __ASSERT_DEBUG(aScrollSpan>=0,Panic(EEikPanicScrollbarScrollSpanLow));
    ...
    }
