    vpn client and Java connectivity

    hello,
please forgive me this stupid question, but i am new in those technologies. If i understan it correctly i can establish a VPN client in a Symbian OS phone. When this VPN client is established and i call javax.microedition.io.httpConnection in some J2ME Midlet does this httpConnection use vpn tunneling or not?

It would depend on whether the target machine is on the other end of the VPN tunnel or not. If it is, then the answer is: Yes.

There is only one: The Nokia Mobile VPN client. However, to set it up to work with a VPN gateway, you also need a Nokia security policy server to do it. Such a server you get if you have a Nokia VPN gateway. I don't know of any other way.

I have no idea. Contact the Nokia Enterprise Solutions sales organization in your country (look for the contact info on http://www.nokia.com/ or ask a local phone company's directory service).
