HTTP Client example in Symbian 6.1 Series60 v1.2

    Hi
existing HTTP Client example is working on Symbian 7.0s Series60 SDK v.2.1
Can i make it to run on Series60 SDK v1.2 supported mobiles

I have done most of the work trasnferring lib and .h files of HTTP related APIs. But RStringF class is defined in StringPool.h and it is in Bafl.lib file Now the problem is i cant make corresponding dll version of bafl i.e. Bafl.dll for Symbian Os v6.1 as i dont have access to code and hence cant compile

So is there anyother way to make HTTP Client example to work on Symbian OS 6.1?

    Any work around?

some people say that it is possible to copy headers from 7.0s sdk and dll from 6600 or similar phone.

Nokia is doing this at least with tombraider NGACE.

The problem is that the DLL is copyrighted, not that I have heard anyone minding this and that nokia is also doign it.

Then on the other hand cooking simple HTTP 1.0/0.9 is quite simple using RSocket.

Using RSocket, i am not able to handle all types of communication errors (e.g connection timout, connection failed and blah blah ) neither i am able to come to know how much data is downloaded.
