    Question Series40 MIDlet

    Hi All,

My Series 40 emulator only displays "Runnning in Background" when I execute my simple J2ME MIDlet. I'm just learning, can anyone tell me why I don't see my application running properly?

    Thanks,
    Paul

Are you setting a Displayable object (ie, calling Display.setCurrent())?

Do you have a GUI in your MIDlet?

    Re: Series40 MIDlet

Have you checked the solutions above? When you create a Form / TextBox, you need to also display that form with Display.setCurrent()
Also do not try to do anything which takes very long time or might block the application before showing the main screen (and then put the time consuming stuff in a separate thread, so the GUI is still responsive)
