Memory space for Java apps. on 6230i

    Hello together,

I have a problem with the 6230i and hope you can help me.
I try to transfer a .jar file (file size approx. 800 - 1000 KB) to the device, but the memory is very limited. I already deleted all other applications.
Is the storage location for Java applications actually only so little?

The mobile has over 30 MB of internal memory. Is there a possibility to share this memory outside the Gallery file?

Additionally, can somebody tell me about the size of the Java heap?

I am dependent on your assistance and hope that somebody has an idea to solve my problem.

    Best regards

    Heap size is of 2Mb
Max java app size is 512kb

I think the shared memory for java apps is around 1Mb to 1.5Mb but I'm not sure.

I can't find details about how the internal memory is shared between, java apps, contacts, mms, etc

    The max jar size

darcania is right. you can not transfer a jar file higher than 512 KB.
Also there is a class limit 60KB for some phones.
I only installed the aplications to Series 40 with PC Suite. If you send a jar file like a mp3 file you can but you can not install or run it and if you try pc suit or emulator will always give an error for jar size.
