Unhappy "problem with Non blocking socket creation"

    Hi All,

    Series 60 SDk 2.1 for symbian 0s 7.0
    ---------------------------------------------------

I am using std lib call 'Socket()' to create socket which is BLOCKING.
Using this i am able communicate with the server.
I want to make this socket non blocking. How can i do that on symbian.

I tried using 'ioctl' calls but its returning -1.
One more interesting thing is 'fcntl' call gives linking error despite linked against estlib.lib.

How can i make socket non blocking?

    Please help.

    reagrds,
    pankaj

I think using RSocket.setopt u should be able to create a non blocking socket. U need to use the option KSONonBlockingIO.

    Hope it works

    Thanks for your reply,

But i am not using RSocket class to create socket instead using standard lib call 'socket()' provided by symbian sdk lib. In this case how can i make it non blocking?
