    Question 6020 jar size limit

I'm getting a "File too large" message when trying to download midlets on a Nokia 6020 (firmware 3.52). I've managed to download a midlet smaller than 65k, but I need larger and the specification says max jar size 128k. Is there anything other then the jar size that could cause this problem?

    Hi..
    As the spec says

    Memory:
    Heap size: 512 KB
Shared Memory for Storage: 3.5 MB
    Max JAR Size: 128 KB

What is your remaining free storage memory?if the free memory is low try deleting some apps or images or ringtones.....

    regards
    Gopal

    Hi,

I just got the phone from the store. It has 1.3MB free memory.

I get the "file too large" message when accessing the jad file. it doesn't even try to download the jar. I don't believe there's anything wrong with the jad file since I can install it on Nokia series 60 handsets. Everything points to a 65KB jar size limit, although the specs says 128KB.

    Thanks,

    Mikael

plz check the "MIDlet-Jar-Size:" entry in the jad file...IMHO it might be above 128k.....

Nope, I tried several versions with jar size and MIDlet-Jar-Size: between 60 - 110 KB and all fail...
