    HI Steeven! welcome to Nokia Discussion Boards!!

    What I understood from your posting is that your app got crashed in your mobile ; but works fine in emulator.
    Basically there may be several reasons...Now for me its like searching in the dark.

    Any way please check your JAD/MF entries. In which phone did u try ur app?
    How you transferred your app to the phone?

    regards
    Gopal

    tks for your quickly reply

    The mobile model is 3230.
    jar was installed via bluetooth, sent to inbox first, then install.

    the midp can run on mobile at first, while I add some functions, it failed in strange.

    I think the mobile should provide a system level error log for developer, it is so hard to find the cause....

    just now, i found the reason:
    public class A{
    public static LOCK = A.class; // this line failed!
    ...
    }

    some days before, Display.setCurrentItem(...) in contructor crashed in midp. it also waste me many time to try out, so ugly...

    regards,

    You can try creating your own log that will help you track down the bug. You can set up a function that writes stuff to the RMS (the same info you might write to System.out to debug with the emulator) and add a second MIDlet to the MIDlet Suite that can read and display that log.
