Python for Series 60 IRC channel

If anyone feels like discussing Python for Series 60 development on IRC, I propose we use the channel #pys60 on Freenode. I'll probably be idling there semi-permanently from now on and may answer questions from time to time. I'm using the nick 'Paavo'.

This is strictly unofficial, of course. I won't make any guarantees that I have any time for IRC and for many things this discussion board is still better, since postings here are permanent and searchable. Still, a real-time medium is often quite handy.

    See you on freenode!

    EDIT: Channel guidelines:

    - If you have a question, just ask it. Don't ask to ask.

    - Be patient. Don't just leave even if the channel seems quiet. Many people on the channel read the channel backlog when they have time, and will reply if you are still around. Note that the crowd is very international and spans several timezones.

Hey, sounds cool! I have never IRCed so far, but if I keep on learning Python for my phone, I might someday try/need IRC, too!

How to use backlog for IRC channel? Is it possible via web browser?

By backlog I'm referring to just the channel traffic logged by your IRC client. At least my client is on 24/7 and logs everything so you can read it when you have time.

    For ITALIAN users

I've seen that #pyS60-it on freenode is empty...

so, if you are searching for italian users, you can find it on

    #pyS60 in irc.azzurra.org (azzurra network)

of course we are also on freenode!

I hope this will be useful to make easier the approach of newbies to this beautiful language :-)
