Question How can I make a screensaver?

Hi, I need to make a screensaver but I don't know where to start from; I gave a look to j2me but I read on some forums that the MIDlets cannot run in background so they're out of use... I suppose there are some tools to make screensavers... does anyone knows one? Thanks a lot for support...

Hi catenazzo Welcome to Nokia Discussion Boards!!

Screen saver is a gif file. You could use any of the commonly used tools available for making gif files like Adobe image ready , Flash etc...

Hi, Thanks for the welcome message
So, it is really so easy? I create an animated GIF and then I copy it into the mobile phone?
    WOW...
    Just a question...
is this solution compatible with the most mobile phones?

    Thanks so much for support!

No, that's a solution that works only with some phones (and as far as I know, with very few Nokia phones, if any).

    Hi,

I have found that a .gif file could used as a screen saver while generating themes from Nokia s40 theme studio; I have to check with S60 theme studio also whether .gif could be used or not. And I have tried changing screen savers for several Siemens devices also, and it worked fine with .gif file.

    regards
    Gopal
