I'm programming a WAP site and there is an XHTML version, used by Nokia phones.
On a Nokia 6620 (said as XHTML compliant), the maxlength instruction is just ignored:
extract of my code (PHP):
echo "<input $this->typeField3 id=\"01\" $this->nameField3 maxlength='10' size='10'><br/>";
it works correctly in IE and on other phones. But on a Nokia 6620 AND ON THE NMBS (nokia simulator 4.1), it fails: the maxlength of the input text is set to 8 characters, altough my code says correctly 10.
Even without a maxlength instruction, the same limit of 8 chars appears.
Did this already happen to anybody?
Is there something wrong, or this a known bug?
