Warning in mwldsym2: Multiple defined section: _atexit in...

    Hi all,

I am trying to compile HelloWorldBasic example from Series 60 2nd FP3 using x86 compiler from NDS 1.1 (I assume it should be the same compiler shipped with CodeWarrior). I've got the following warnings during linking:

mwldsym2.exe: warning: Multiply defined section: _atexit in
    mwldsym2.exe: warning: files abort_exit_win32.c.obj (MSL_All_MSE_Symbian_D.lib),
    UP_DLL.obj (EDLL.LIB),
mwldsym2.exe: warning: keeping definition in UP_DLL.obj

This is the version of mwldsym2 that I am using:

    Nokia Codewarrior Linker for Windows/x86.

    Version 3.2.3 build 437 (Build 437)
    Runtime Built: Mar 29 2005 18:46:28

Any ideas how to remove the warnings?

    Amtony

Unfortunately there are some symbols defined in two libs when the symbian runtime is added. Right now the only way to suppress them is to add "-warnings off", may be a bit drastic, but that's the only work-around right now.

    Cheers,
    Tim

Can't we supress this specific warning using a #pragma? What's the warning number?

This has been fixed for future linker releases. User side C overrides won't emit wanrings any more. You'll probably see this compiler in a OEM 3.1 CW release or Carbide tools.
