HelloWorldBasic Problem... It's driving me nuts!

    Hello there,

As you might have assumed, I'm new to Symbian OS C++ programming and I'll be very grateful if someone just gives me a little bit of help at the beginning.

    This is what I've got:
CW Development Studio for Symbian OS, Version 3.1
    Series60 SDK 2nd Edition FP1 for CW

    The Problem:
What I want to do is to run HelloWorldBasic in the emulator. All the files seem to compile without any error but when I try Project=>Run or Project=>Debug several error messages during the linking stage are displayed. Here's the Errors & Warnings window:

    Errors caused tool to abort.

    Project: helloworldbasic.mcp, Target: WINSCW UDEB

Link Error : Undefined symbol: '___destroy_new_array'
    Project: helloworldbasic.mcp, Target: WINSCW UDEB

Link Error : referenced from 'CHelloWorldBasicApplication::~CHelloWorldBasicApplication(unsigned int) (??_ECHelloWorldBasicApplication@@UAE@I@Z)' in HELLOWORLDBASIC.o
    Project: helloworldbasic.mcp, Target: WINSCW UDEB

    Link Error : Link failed

Please help if you have any idea how I can fix this problem... I'll appreciate it!

    All the best,

I think your environment variables for the x86 compiler are messed up - you are missing some implicit libs.
Run the following program and select the option to set up the 3.2.3 compiler. Then restart the IDE from a new explorer window.

    <cw install>\bin\env_update.exe

    Cheers,
    Tim
