RE: Sending SI (WAP Push)? There are examples from WAP froum of how to send Ser

Nokia 8310 supports WAP PUSH messages (Service Indication). A WAP terminal receives PUSH messages from the service application while being in non-browsing mode. PUSH messages are used to inform the terminal about the new content on the origin server. PUSH message types are Service Indication, Service Loading, Session Initialisation Application messages

Here is basic information of the PUSH message sending:

A service application that needs to send a WAP Push Service Indication (SI) should send a HTTP POST to the WAP Push Proxy Gateway (PPG). Application developers need to take care of:

    a) The format of the body of the message: it has to comply to the format specified by WAP specification.
    b) Authentication: WAP PPG's may impose some form of access control and may control actual sending of the SI to subscribers.
    c) Possibly processing of notifications by the PPG.

More comprehensive information and examples about the actual PUSH XML message will soon be available in Nokia Developer ProPoint web site.
