    How to embed Flash(*.swf) files

    Dear all,
    I'm developing WAP application using XHTML. I want to embed a Flash file with a deck(Page). I can link the image files using 'img' tag( Ex : <img src="icons/exterior.gif" alt="Exterior" />). Can anyone tell how to embed and use the flash file in a deck.

    Thanks.

    WML said it only supports ".wbmp" image type. May be some changes happened in WML 2.0.

    Since the wml was made for mobile and as you know the mobiles dont have big ram therefore they most of animated things are not supported in wml.

    You are using xhtml. xhtml is more like html 4 and they use the same script. But this is not the problem the problem is will the mobiles display it?

    No as i told you they dont have big memories.

    But you I have a suggesion convert your lower size .swf file to gif low your resolution or quality.

    display it on your page as .gif file.

    tip: mobile display the .gif files i have tested it

    <img src="yourfile.gif" alt="mah"/>

    will display it

    Re: How to embed Flash(*.swf) files

    Hi shnawer,
    Thanks for ur response, and can u tell me how to use 'Accesskey' attribute in XHTML. The tutorial tells that If we use accesskey attribute it will work. But I have tried with Nokia Mobile Internet Tool Kit examples and with my file also. It is not working.
    So pls get me clear on,
    1. How to use accesskey.
    2. How to set a background image for each page.

    Thanks in Advance:

    Hi,
    first thing all the attribute in XHTML are not acceptable to all mobiles. On some mobile browsers they work on others they not.

    I will sugges you to not to use any thing which is not 100% acceptable to all mobiles.

    accesskey can be used in xhtml like this

    <ol>
    <li><a accesskey="1" href="me1.asp">About Me</a>
    <li><a accesskey="2" href="mypics.asp">Pictures</a>
    <li><a accesskey="3" href="family.asp">My Family</a>
    </ol>

    background image can be used like
    <body background="../me.gif" alt="0">

    but i am sure they wont work with all mobiles

    Thanks
    shnawer
