    SIP on Series 60

    Hi

    I wonder if the Series 60 2.0 Phones (6680 for example) support the SIP protocol as intended in MIDP2. Has anyone tried to work with the SIP protocol? At least with the Nokia SDK?

    SIP = JSR-180
    This is an optional package which is introduced from Nokia with Series 60 3rd Edition like the N91 and the E series.

    Re: SIP on Series 60

    Another SIP related question just arose because I couldn't figure this out from the spec:
    Is it possible to initiate a connection from a server (say using JAIN SIP) to a mobile phone client (using JSR-180)? We plan to develop an app where connections (on app layer) should be initiate not only from client to server but moreover vice-versa. For example we want to create a connection to a mobile phone (by its phone number) and send a query to it. Does anyone ever tried something like this?
