issue with vc.net compatibility of third edition beta SDK

The download page for the series 60 3rd beta SDK mentioned that it can be used with VC.NET as well as CW. However when i tried to create the work space using "abld makefile vc7" i got an error and the work space wasn't created (I also didn't notice a "wins" directory in the SDK installation).

I am quite sure the installation has been done correctly, coz i got it working on CW.

I wanted to confirm whether the SDK is compatible with VC.NET, and if yes, then can somebody plz give me some tips as to how i can go about it.

    Thanks in advance,

The "Available SDKs" list on page http://forum.nokia.com/main/0,6566,034-4,00.html seems to indicate that the 3rd Ed. SDK is only for CodeWarrior as it is only listed under that section (and not under VS.NET 2003 or VS 6/Borland sections).

You can use 3rd edition with VS.NET + Carbide.vs to develop projects. But you won't use the command line again, having "Import Symbian project" available. Check the available documentation about Carbide.
