    S80 SDK Fix Mystery

I have just downloaded "Series 80 Developer Platform 2.0 SDK for Symbian OS - Supporting CodeWarrior" and "Fix for Series 80 Developer Platform 2.0 SDK for Symbian OS - Supporting CodeWarrior". To my surprise the files in the Fix package were older than those in the base package.

I compared the two header files in Fix and Base, and found no differences. There are length differences in the binaries.

Is it safe to replace Base package files with older Fix package files? Why are the dates of the Fix package files earlier?

    Re: S80 SDK Fix Mystery

If memory serves me, the newest full SDK package contains the modifications provided by the fix package. The fix was just provided as a patch to a previous full SDK package so that people would not have to download the full SDK again.
