have you checked any of the SMS examples available on this forum ? They also have implement the part where service center number is set, so have a look into the code there.

    Re: [sms] change serviceCentre Number

    hi,

tnx for your reply... i've seen some example and i have another problem:
i've implemented an engine based on sms-example code with appui and all work fine... but now i want to develop the engine as an exe...

i've a console base class witch generate an exe and 2 classes:
-smshandler : cbase, MSMSEngineObserver, public MMsvSessionObserver
-smsengine : cActive, MMsvSessionObserver (in this class is defined MSMSEngineObserver)

but when in console i create the smsHandler instance with no problem... the program do nothing and the engine doesn't work.

Can someone tell me how to implement an engine (exe) for sms?
    thanx

    Re: [sms] change serviceCentre Number

    ok,

now i have my EXE engine... it's ok on 1.2serie60 (3650 etc...)
but when i compile the engine with the second edition sdk all seems to be right exept the esecution on device: not works...
is it possible that the "same code" compiled with different sdk without problems on real device isn't working at all?

    can someone help me?
    tnx a lot

haven't really seen any difference in general features, but could be that you are using some functionalities that do not work in tha target (though, most commonly they should also complain while compiling)

    Re: [sms] change serviceCentre Number

i'm triyng to run helloworldExample(console version)... after compiling without errors, on device (6630 - sdk 2nd sp2) not run... but the same code compilated with a previous sdk works fine on 3650.

and it isn't an sdk problem because if i compile an app with interface all works...
    i really don't understand...

may be my pkg file? :

    ----------------------------------------------------------
    ; Package header

    #{"HelloWorld"}, (0x0189C6A7), 1, 0, 0

    (0x101F6F88), 0, 0, 0, {"Series60ProductID"}

    ; Installed files
    "\Symbian\8.0a\S60_2nd_FP2\Epoc32\Release\thumb\urel\HelloWorld.exe"-"!:\system\apps\HelloWorld.exe"

    ; End of file
    -------------------------------------------------------------

ps. i've compiled an exe exaple generated by appWizard, but the result was the same.
