Hi Yucca,How to turn off the keypad tones.

    Dear frnds,

I need to turn off the keypad tone for a particular time. How can i stop playing a beep sound, when any key is pressed.

Can I switch to silent profile when a key is pressed.
But it will partially solve my problem as switching to silent profile will turn off all the sounds.

But what should I do, if I want to turn beep off only for a particulay key lets Menu Key.

    Hi,

You could solve your probem by changing the profiles. But I doubt whether it could be possible with a single Key press!.
AFAIK it is not possilble to turn the beep off for one particular Key.

    Regards
    Gopal

How to turn off the keypad tones.

It means, I have to change the profile to silent mode. How can I switch to silent profile. or can I set the keypad volume to 0 in the profile settings.

Is there no way to turn beep off of keypad (no for a particular key but all).

Is there any other way to turn off the tones for all keys whenever any key is pressed.

Yes outside of j2me, but not using J2Me.

    Outside of j2me:
You have to edit the options in your profile(s) -- meaning you don't necessarily have to change to the silent profile -- and edit the keypad tones to turn the sound off. This will apply to ALL keys.

eg. (on my phone. Process *should* be somewhat similar for most Nokia phones)
Profiles -> General (or whatever profile you want) -> Personalize -> Keypad Tones

In j2me: sorry. No idea. I don't think it is possible.

    Cheers.
