Exclamation Transmission: Options 'Ask once' & 'Always allowed' disabled

Hello together and Happy New Year!
The problem adverts to an application whereby entries can be taken; these information are transmitted to a server.

Before starting the transmission there are 4 options announced:
Ask every time / Ask once / Always allowed / Not allowed.
Unfortunatly the options 'Ask once' and 'Always allowed' are disabled, so that the transmission of data has to be allowed each time.
My question: Is there a possibility to enable the disabled options and what is to do to achieve this?

    Thanks for each assistance

Happy New Year to you too!!

IMHO, the permissions will not be asked once the app is signed.

There have been several discussions in this regard. Please search the Forum. Also here are some links that might be of some interest.

I feared to have to sign the app...
This is much information indeed; some to work through.

Thanks a lot for your quickly reply.

And remember perhaps the signing in the 3rd party domain might not be sufficient. Which phone are you talking about? First make sure with Nokia, you get these permissions as 3rd party. I have seen models, which required operator or Nokia signing level for something like this.

I tried with the 6021, but the file (386 KB) couldn't be copied (too large), although the free memory was more than 900 KB.
Using the 6230 the transmission was successful, but the MIDLet wasn't allowed to access to the recordstores (think for this action the MIDLet has to be certificated, too) and an exception error was displayed.
Do I have to bargain for that a MIDLet taking access to recordstores doesn't work on some phones if it isn't installed by Nokia or a provider at all?

For 6021 the Max JAR Size is 125 KB. Please check the specifications link http://forum.nokia.com/main/0,,018-2...tml?model=6021
For 6230 also the Max JAR Size is 125 KB.

RecordStore access does not need any permissions or signing.
