I've got a 6610 connected via CA-42 cable to a Win2K pro PC. Nokia PC Connectivity SDK is also installed.

I wrote a simple VB.Net app to send SMS and it works fine. However, when I converted the app to a Windows service, I am unable to send any SMS - the error given was that there is no phone connected. I thought that the service is unable to find any connected phone as it is logged in using the System account - I set it to log on using my account, which incidentally has administrative privileges, but still no joy.

Also, when the service is running, and I run my other app, I am able to send SMS thru the app, but still encounter the No phone connected error message from the service.

Can anyone help? Any assistance is most appreciated.
