    Urgent help needed !!!!!

    hi ppl , could someone tell me how to change the font (e.g. Arabic or Chinese) in a midlet? I am trying to make a translator. I need to use different language fonts in my midp application. Help needed ASAP!!

    Hello Navin,

    MIDlets support 16-bit Unicode Strings and characters, which means that both Arabic and Chinese characters are covered. The problem arises from the support for these characters in the phone itself. If the phone supports non-Western alphabet natively, then your MIDlet should show the characters correctly. If it doesn't have the required character set built-in, you are out of luck. The only solution then is to show characters or strings as Images on Canvas.
