    fetching a webpage from remore server using WWW and MMS IAPs

    My application fetches webpage form a remote server.
    I am using RSocketServ & RScocket and KProtocolInetUdp
    RHostResolver to connect server.
    iSocket.Open(iSocketServer,
    KAfInet,
    KSockStream,
    KProtocolInetTcp);

    for DNS
    iResolver.Open(iSocketServer, KAfInet, KProtocolInetUdp)

    I am using HTTP 1.1 get request.

    Application successfully fetching the webpage data using WWW IAP.
    But it giving time out error for MMS IAP .
    The same webpage is retrieved by Opera and
    Nokia default web browser for both MMS and WWW
    IAP.

    Why my app reporting error for MMS iap. ?

    Re: Fetching a Webpage from a remote server using WWW, MMS IAP

    I am using HUTCH india connection

    HUTCH_MMS iap

    Phone ip address : automatic
    Name server: automatic
    Proxy server address : 10.10.1.100
    Proxy port number :9401

    HUTCH_www

    Phone ip address : automatic
    Name server: automatic
    Proxy server address : none
    Proxy port number :0

    Is it compulsory to include a header field to use particularly proxy in HTTP GET header for MMS IAP to fetch a webpage?

    Re: Fetching a Webpage from remote server using WWW and MMS IAPs

    Because of proxy servers my application not working for MMS and GPRS IAPs
    I changed my code from Socket to RHTTP.
    After opening Session I installed proxy filter
    iSession.OpenL();
    CHttpFilterProxyInterface::InstallFilterL(iSession);

    Now my app working for mms,gprs and www IAPs

    Now I am trying to implement same thing for RsocketServer & RSocket .

    I got most of information from nmittal and xiddesign post "Proxies, the HTTP stack and Series 60 v2.0".
    Thanks nmittal, xiddesign
