    A question ( reinio, please come in.)

    Hi,reinio,

    Thanks for help, but I have some other questions, I hope you can do me a great favour.

    Now I am developing a FEP application(actually, it is a Chinese Input Method), I find some source files in the SDK, Cycling_FEP.h & Cycling_FEP.cpp.

    But there is no project file(.mmp), so I create Cycling_FEP.mmp for it, which is as follows

    // Cycling_FEP.MMP
    //
    TARGET Cycling_FEP.FEP
    TARGETTYPE fep
    UID 0x1000008d 0x10004268
    TARGETPATH \system\FEP

    SOURCEPATH .
    SOURCE Cycling_FEP.cpp

    USERINCLUDE .
    USERINCLUDE \SYMBIAN\6.0\NOKIACPP\DebugSource\ckon\ckcorinc

    SYSTEMINCLUDE .

    SYSTEMINCLUDE \epoc32\include

    LIBRARY euser.lib cone.lib apparc.lib bafl.lib
    LIBRARY eikcore.lib eikcoctl.lib eikdlg.lib fepbase.lib ws32.lib efsrv.lib estor.lib eikcdlg.lib

    as you can see that the TARGETTYPE is fep, but when use bldmake and abld command to generate the vc6 project, the system tells me that TARGETTYPE fep is unsupported, why? as you know, according to the mmp file syntax, fep is valid here.

    I will greatly appreciate your help.

    Hi,

    The fep targettype is not recognized by the build tools, so the documentation is erraneous (or obsolete) about this...however, you can still build a fep, by defining the target as follows:

    TARGET Cycling_FEP.FEP
    TARGETTYPE dll
    UID 0x10005e32 0x10004268
    ...

    So, the fep target type is replaced by a standard dll (the target name still contains .fep) The UID2 must be 0x10005e32 for a fep target.

    Hope this helps!
