    Cool Can anyone help me...?

I'm currently at university and I need to develop a java computer system that will synchronize with a mobile phone to browse, add and modify the SMS folders and address book. I currently have a Nokia 6100 phone.

Can anyone tell me if this is possible? And what java tool(s) could I use?

Any pointers would be a great help!

    Thank you in advanced,
    Pete..

Well, for one, you need a different phone (yours is too old and doesn't support the so called JSR-75 or the PIM and FileConnection APIs you'd need to get to the address book data).

What tools your phone supports you can find through this page: http://forum.nokia.com/6100

Well, I pointed you to http://forum.nokia.com/6100 already.

Look at the URL and notice the "6100" part. What might happen, if you replace the "6100" with, say, "8830", or "N70"?
