I am working on an audio streaming app, and noticed how heavy, timewise, writing anything to the screen is of a 6620.

The app works fine without any display updates, but then I want to write out some buffer status stuff, a simple one-line of text, I seem to lose about 100ms of time. Very quckly my buffers empty out and I start to get dropouts. Not good.

Is task-switching that heavy in Symbian, or are the screen drivers that bad?

The text output is going to a CEikRichTextEditor object.
