    screen rotating affect camera function?

I am developing a app on S60 3rd platform concerning camera.
My app start the viewfinder of the camera when the app launchs.
When I test my app on the new phone that the screen can rotate, the viewfinder launched successfully. But when I rotate the screen, the ui of camera of the system opens. That is to say, it opens the normal camera function although it is just the UI of the camera. (When a user want to capture a photo, he just rotate the screen, then the camera capturing function will open. ) I have reserved the camera for app. So the system camera function should not be opened. I have tested this function on 2.0rd platform and no problem.
So are there some differences between the 2rd and 3rd platform dealing with the camera when the screen ratates.

Why don't you just check yourself what event you receive when that happens?

You will get a notification through the callback MEikStatusPaneObserver::HandleStatusPaneSizeChange(..) which you can implement in your Class that dervies from CAknAppUI. You then will have a HandleForegroundEventL

    Hope this helps

    Thanks!
I solved this by add HandleForegroundEventL in appUI.
But It just bring my app to foreground and the built-in camera app is still in the background. So when I exit my app, the built-in camera app appeared.

Do you know the UID of the built-in camera that I can close the background app.
Or do you have ideas to prevent this built-in camera app being launched.

Sorry I don't have 3250 to investigate the problem you are seeing at the moment... I will try and look into the sequence of events soon. I am not sure what you mean by "I have reserved the camera for app"?
