    J2ME security model

I try to program a Midlet to switch off the mobilephone, but System.exit() doesnt work.
Is there a way to give an midlet the permission to switch off the phone? I could only find permissions on networking stuff.

Or maybe is there another possibility to block access to the phone? Maybe to logout and ask for the pin code or to lock the keyboard?

I tried to restart the midlet while being destroyed, so I could program a login in itself, but that doesnt work either.

Any ideas? I would appreciate any suggestions.
    Thanks in advance!

I don't think there is any way to make a MIDlet do that kind of stuff. You have to make a 'native' program (Symbian, WinCE, etc) to be able to call OS specific functions like shutting down the phone.
