    Help Required to connect to Phones without using Nokia Phone Suit

    Hii All,

    Gud to be part of the community. I would like to know that how could i connect to Nokia phones without using Nokia Pocket Suit or Nokia Tray application(in SDK 3.0). I have to connect using any of these application then i could able to use the SDK. I have installed Modem driver which is detected automatically when i connect to Nokia phones of mostly 40 series. When i call the functions in SDK without connected through Nokia Pocket Suit or Nokia Tray application i get an error and no mobile device is detected. Can some one explain what difference the Nokia Pocket Suit makes when we connect to the Nokia phone. If not what are dlls that in need to use to connect to devce. I have used Connection API released which provides functions to connect to device but it also use Nokia Pocket Suit. Hellp me out?

    I think you need to use the like into wma
    in here you find to java code to link up.
    I also refer you to fact that you can load the Nokia modem driver.
    The port is in fact IR0 and can be seen from getting parameters from
    system using

    String port1;
    String ports = System.getProperty("microedition.commports");
    int comma = ports.indexOf(',');
    if (comma > 0) {
    // Parse the first port from the available ports list.
    port1 = ports.substring(0, comma);
    } else {
    // Only one serial port available.
    port1 =ports;

    see
