    Exclamation Help me!!

    Hi,

    To run the HelloWorld MIDLET in the emulator i have entered the following command in the command prompt:
    emulator -Xdescriptor:C:\Series60\Devices\S60_2nd_FP3_MIDP_SDK\s60examples\helloworldplus\bin
    While executing this command i hav encounterd problem:
    emulator.exe is not a valid win32 application
    Acces is denied.hav any idea?plzzzzz help......

    How are you running it, if I remember correctly, command.com is 16 bit and cmd.exe is 32bit, maybe it might help running it by clicking Start->Run->Command.Com

    I think Jason's right -- this is not realy a SymbianOS issue but a PC one.

    If his suggestion doesn't work, perhaps your emulator exe file may be corrupt. Can you run it standalon, i.e. open cmd.exe, and type 'emulator'?

    Maybe try to re-download and/or re-extract your SDK

    on my windows 2000 desktop, i have a shortcut to
    "D:\Program Files\SDKs\Symbian\Nokia\Series60\Devices\S60_2nd_FP3_MIDP_SDK\bin\epoc32\release\winscw\udeb\epoc.exe"

    when i click it, runs the emulator in standalone mode, if i copy my sis or jar files to a directory for device, i can then install and run my apps in standalone mode! Nice.
