Installing an Applet to the NFC shell for payment and Ticketing

Is there a way to install an (Java Card) applet (for example the HelloApplet which comes with the Nokia SDK) onto the smart card in the NFC shell on a Nokia 3220 without a contactless smart card reader? For example, installing it by running an MIDlet on the phone that connects to the smart card in the cover/nfc shell and sends the whole Applet in APDU commands to the smart card?

In the Nokia Secure Chip Programmer's Guide Programming it is explained by doing it with a contactless reader which I don't have.

(I am using a datacable to install a MIDlet to the phone)

Well, "theoretically" it is possible. In this case you would need to write a Midelt holding the bytecode of your JCOP Application and then running the installation procedure ofter the contacted-interface of the Secure Element.

I'm honest. This is A LOT OF WORK. If I was you, I'd go and buy reader. This investment pays of within a week ;-)
