If you ask about an API the answer is no. If you ask about an application the answer is yes....you can find it at handago site

If you select Options | Settings, you should find an option where you can select where to save your JPEG images (phone memory/memory card) as well as directory name. For example, if you select phone memory and "Screenshots", it will be in c:\nokia\images\Screenshots.

    Hi antonypr,

Unfortunately, your application does not run on my Nokia 5800 as you have stated in your link. If you need a beta tester, please let me know.

    Cheers.

The first software I tried on my 5800 was Screenshot but as stated by Zoula, the camera button doesn't take any screenshots.

A web search found another utility called ScreenSnap that works very well on the 5800 but it doesn't save images in PNG format.

i've download the screenshot source code, after i compiled it, the .sisx must be under 'signed' on installation, is there another way so i could pass the 'signed'?

All Symbian application must be signed, anyway, I assume that it requires key capturing thus it needs SwEvent capability, which requires symbian signing. Thus, either try locating a application version that is already symbian signed, or go to Symbian signed web site and try the Open signed on-line.

You always need to sign application used in device, however if you use capabilities that allow using self-signed, then you can self-sing it, and do not need to use symbian signed. anyway, if you really want source codes, just use the ones you have, and remove any parts that are requiring capabilities requiring symbian signed, i.e. for example key capturing.

Getting the actual screenshot does not require any additional capabilities. Anyway, if you feel that you can not modify the codes, or are incapable of using any signing, then do search for a verion of the screen capture application that is already signed and use it.
