Debug mode that allows for viewing/capturing all events?

Still new at this, so thanks in advance for the help
    I'm using Carbide, btw.

Is there some debug mode I can turn on that will let me see all the different events floating around the cell phone? Like, the event that this key was pressed... the event that this UI widget was added...?

Even better, is there a way I can capture those events arbitrarily? An example thing to do with the captured events is simply log them.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Do you mean in actual phone?

If you want to capture events or from your phone or debug your application on the phone then you need to use something else than Carbide C++ Express. With Express edition it is not possible to use On-target debugger. You need to use CodeWarrior Pro or OEM edition or then wait until the Carbide C++ Developer is released.

Hrm, I see. Well, is there a way to see these events even by command line tool? I'll ditch the IDE if necessary

    Hi,

There is no way to get any event data from the phone directly to your PC without On-Target debugging tool. You can try to generate logging messages to your application code to generate event log file to your MMC card or print events to the phone screen during the execution.
