memory problem in Byte array (6230i)

I have checked some other phones but they dont allow me to open a Byte array longer than 1 or 2 megabytes. Is there any phone that allow much more memory than that or is there a way to increase the memory that a phone allocates for Java applications??? I am trying to send a data via a StreamConnection. I dont think it is possible but can I open a shorter byte array and use it multiple times to send that data(audio file)? It is kind of dividing a file into pieces or packets of byte! I will appreciate any kind of help. Thx in advance...

AFAIK a 6230i only has something like 2 MB internal (useable) memory. But if you have to get more than 2 MB check Series 60 / 80.

I have also tried Nokia 6670(S60) and it allocates less memory. Pretty odd! Maybe other S60 devices have more usable memory as you said, I have no idea. That is why I am curious.
