Petition: ANyone able to make a simple Time-lapse function for 6270 / 6280 in j2me??

Hiya, the nokia 6270 / 6280 is a great phone , and I was wondering if it would be possible to control the camera from within a j2me (java) applictaion - In that case could it be possible to make a script with an ajustable timer that takes e.g. a picture every 15 seconds or so... (an ofcours making it possible to ajust (5, 10 , 15, 1 min. etc.. )

Anyways hope to get some frredback on this one .. (would it be difficult)

Wouldnt it be cool to be able to watch streetlife / clouds passing over a whole day...

Anyways - All posts are welcome

Hi Hans! Welcome to Nokia Discussion Boards!!

    According to MIDP_Mobile_Media_API_Developers_Guide_v1_0_en.pdf,

Camera snapshot for pictures or video recording use the following locators:
    • Series 40 platform (Nokia 6280):
    o capture://image (for photo capture)
    o capture://video (for video recording)

Nokia 6280 is the first Series 40 device that supports video recording.
You can check the support by using the following system properties:
    • supports.audio.capture — for audio recording
    • supports.video.capture — for video recording

Hope these links are of some interest!

    Hi Hans,

Just complementing what Gopal advised, you can use java.util.Timer and java.util.TimerTask to schedule/build the timer, as you want.
